Top 5 (Sham)Rockiest Irish-Themed Slots
While everyone is getting ready (or not) for this year’s Valentine’s Day, I’m already far ahead and in the mood for something greener, more beer-infused and with a touch of Irish luck. Yes, it’s most certainly St. Patrick’s Day I’m talking about. To get you in the mood for this glorious holiday, I’ll give you my top 5 (sham)rockiest Irish-themed slots. The symbols come as no surprise – shamrocks, fiddles, leprechauns, pots of gold, green-eyed beauties, pipes and horseshoes – but which 5 slots will I pick? Let me show you my current favourites:
#5 Lucky Leprechaun (Microgaming)
This popular slot gives you frequent wins, with some of them being quite big, and there’s calm Irish music to put you in a positive state of mind. It won’t be long before you get access to the cool Trail O’ Fortune bonus game. In the meantime, enjoy a pint or two of Irish stout – you don’t even need a branded pint glass to know it’s a Guinness.
#4 Irish Riches (Barcrest)
This beautiful slot machine has all the green and gold you could possibly wish for. The graphics do the Irish theme justice and the RTP of 95.02% is quite good. It features a Bonus Game called Crock of Gold and free spins. Moreover, there’s a progressive jackpot waiting for you – it’s awarded randomly, so you could potentially snatch the Irish pot of gold at any round.
#3 St. Patrick’s Day (Gamescale)
This slot welcomes you with a tabletop covered with beers and the exploitation of the beer theme doesn’t stop there – most of the game symbols are pints, including the symbolic green beer. If you’re at work, for example, dying for some lager or stout, you can just spin the reels and listen to the sweet sound of beer on tap flowing into your imaginary tankard because common birds and Irish music won’t do for this beer-inspired slot machine.
#2 Golden Shamrock by (NetEnt)
Wow! If uplifting visuals is what you’re after, you can never go wrong with a NetEnt slot. But coupled with the beautiful theme of green-hilled Ireland, those are just heart-melting. You’ll lament not having had the luck to be born Irish alright, even if the leprechaun (surprise, surprise!) from the expanding wild, tells you that “If you’re not lucky to be Irish, you’re lucky enough”. Apart from the expanding wild, there’re free spins and many ways you can modify your stake.
#1 Shamrockers (IGT)
What a spin on the wide-spread Irish theme! This slot is unlike any other. While it does feature Irish music, it’s received a hard rock makeover. And if you’re looking for the usual Irish symbols, you won’t find them, except the wild, which is a shamrock. The symbols here are the members of a rock band and they have a girl drummer, too. Land the guitar player symbol in a winning payline and you’ll hear a guitar solo. The game also offers amazing payouts – the screenshot is from my very first spin!

Hey there, friends of casino games and anagrams! My name is Jay Howells – a 30 something lad from Leicester, who likes playing slot machines… and unscrambling anagrams. My two passions led me to picking this odd name for my blog.
So, what’s a spodek? Is it a plane or a bird? Is it an inside joke or a term? Is it the latest slang word you haven’t heard yet? Or, maybe just maybe, it’s a word in some strange, foreign language like Russian… Did you go through this mental association game yourself or did you quickly google it to find that there is a famous arena in Poland (kind of like a Polish Wembley) bearing the same name and that the word “spodek” means a “saucer” in Polish.
So, what’s the link between a saucer, an arena and my blog? Well, the arena is called a saucer, or spodek, because it resembles a flying saucer. However, my blog’s name has nothing to do with that arena or with the Polish word.
The name of my blog is actually an abbreviation and as such should be written in caps. SPODEK stands for “Slot Players Online Discover Every Know-How” and yes! it was born out of my love for slot machines. I plan on leaving no stones unturned in my search for the ultimate casino experience for slot lovers.
I’m a passionate player of casino games and have been such for over a decade. I love researching and reading about RTPs, tricks and tips on beating the dealer, and anything else that would give me an advantage over the casino. The casino always wins in the end, they say, but we’ll see about that. Stick around for fun and informative articles on anything that has to do with casino games and, who knows, we might start writing history together.
